Our client is hiring for a Cloud Architect with strong Bid experience for their team based in Basingstoke. This role is flexible hybrid and does require some travel to the offices and customer sites. Salary ranges from £65K - £78K + 15% Bonus + £6K car allowance. Please note you will need to be eligible for SC / DV Clearance.

In this senior technical role, you will lead the design and implementation of robust cloud architectures across major public platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI). You will collaborate on new business bids, guide internal teams, and deliver high-value, secure cloud solutions for critical projects. This role blends hands-on design with strategic input and technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and champion innovative cloud offerings within the business.
  • Design end-to-end cloud solutions that meet strict security and operational requirements.
  • Lead on bids, proposals, and customer engagements.
  • Mentor and support team members in developing cloud competencies.
  • Contribute to documentation, automation, and integration of systems.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and drive cloud best practices across the business.

    Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and cloud scripting (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) are highly desirable.
