Location: Ernesettle, Plymouth
Shift: Monday - Friday, Nights

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will:

Deliver to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
This will involve trunking from Ernesettle to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reload back to Ernesettle.
You may also be required to cover internal trunking.
Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
Planning route on a day to day basis
Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.Essential Skills and Qualifications

Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Confident, polite, and a team player.
Good geographical knowledge.

Competitive Salary: £40,393 to £44,059pa, this includes a £20 bonus per shift for starting between 15:00hrs and 02:00hrs.
Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 18:00hrs.
