What we do

This particular role is based at our Bakkavor Salads Bo'ness site, which employs over 1,000 people and produces food-to-go salads and salad accompaniments to a number of customers. It is located 3.5 miles from Linlithgow and 8 miles to Falkirk.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Services Engineer to join our expanding team and site.

Our Site Service Engineers work as part of a team or standalone, depending on the task. The role reports to Engineering and Projects Manager.

Role Accountabilities
Carry out all site fabric repairs both internal and external including common areas, toilets, doors, windows, flooring, walling, ironmongery, drainage, décor, and production spaces. This will include joinery, painting and decorating, metal bending and any other relevant maintenance e.g. fixing repairing of basic equipment such tables, racks, food production containers
Source and manage contractors to complete work out with own skill set or resource
Review and manage to completion fabrication audits liaising with the Compliance & Site services Manager and Technical Department
Check and maintain building's roof gutters and roof spaces including upkeep and H&S audits.
Complete general repair audits and complete actions to fix
Update action trackers and present data showing progress against actions. About you
Experience of general building and fabrication repairs
Ability to always work in a safe and professional manner
Self-managing - must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
Flexible working attitude
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work with internal stakeholders
Computer skills including experience of MS Office packages.
Trade skills an advantage e.g. joinery, plumbing, welding, metal work
Previous plant experience in a manufacturing environment will be beneficial
