Our client, a leading global organization, is partnering with a prestigious end client based in Farnborough. We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Application Packaging & Deployment Engineers with active UK Security Clearance (SC) to join a dynamic IT infrastructure team.

Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer – SC Cleared

  • Contract – 6+ Months

  • Day Rate: £(Apply online only)/day INSIDE IR35

  • Location: Gloucester - Fully remote

    In this role, you will be responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications using SCCM and Intune, ensuring secure, efficient, and standardised delivery across the organisation.

    Role Responsibilities

  • Package applications using AdminStudio, InstallShield, and PowerShell

  • Maintain consistent naming conventions and package standards

  • Migrate legacy applications to MSIX or Intune-based deployment

  • Deploy and troubleshoot applications via SCCM and Intune

  • Manage deployment infrastructure, including collections, boundaries, and distribution points

  • Work across pre-production and production environments for smooth rollouts

  • Document processes and share knowledge with team members

  • Participate in change management activities, including CAB meetings

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line incident resolution and root cause analysis reports

  • Collaborate with deployment teams to drive continuous improvement

  • Offer on-call and out-of-hours support as required (rota basis)

  • Travel within the UK when necessary

    Essential Skills & Experience

  • UK SC Clearance – must be active

  • Proven experience in application packaging (MSI, App-V, Intune)

  • Strong knowledge of SCCM (Current Branch)

  • Scripting skills: PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch

  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Group Policy

  • Familiarity with Intune, Autopilot, and Conditional Access

    Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Certifications (MCSA, MD-102)

  • ITIL Foundation

  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments

  • Agile/DevOps working knowledge

  • Cloud solution deployment experience
