Warehouse operative /Container Off-loaders - Loughborough

Our client, a leading partner for contract packing services in the UK, is looking to expand their team with dedicated and motivated Warehouse Operatives / Container Off-loaders at their Loughborough location.

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM - 03:30 PM
30-minute unpaid break

Pay Rates:
£12.21 per hour
Paid holiday on your birthday after completing 12 weeks of continuous employment

Responsible for

  • Unloading containers
  • Help on production area if needed.
  • Picking production orders and ensuring CP production lines flow and do not have to stop.
  • Moving stock around warehouse using pump truck.
  • Receiving, checking, sorting and put-away of CP finished goods.
  • Timely sortation of customer returns back to stock or for disposal.
  • Returning production overs and rejects to new stock locations/quarantine areas for disposal.
  • Disposal of stock as per customer requirements
  • Keeping warehouse clean, tidy and safe
  • Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational and health and safety procedures, rules and schedules
  • Treating merchandise and company property with care and concern at all times

    All employees must work flexibly to support the Peak Season and as such their hours of work may be variable for periods of time to meet business needs.
    All employees will be trained across all functions in order to multitask giving flexibility of employment.
    All employees will be expected to work to agreed quality and accuracy levels whilst achieving hourly production rates.

    Health & Safety Responsibilities

    Accreditation and Audits
    All employees will work to the standard required to achieve and maintain all of Company's accreditations and audit standards.
    Professional qualifications:

    No essential qualifications required for Logistics, Contract Packing Warehouse Operations as training will be provided

    Knowledge and experience:
    Previous experience in a fast moving Logistics environment is helpful
    Basic level of computer skills
    Attention to detail and methodical to ensure stock is correctly accounted for
    Experience of Contract Packing environment

    The Company reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of the Company's business.
