Location: Immingham Dock

Salary: £28,000 - £34,500

Temp to perm.

176 guaranteed hours contract. (176 hours per month)

Stafforce Managed Services are delighted to be working with The Port of Immingham. As the Port continues their expansion plans they need to expand their current flexible workforce and we are looking to recruit on a long term flexible basis with the opportunity of becoming a member of the core permanent workforce.

Job Summary

Exciting opportunities to include Tug / Shunting drivers to work within the Port's busy terminals. We have immediate opportunities to ensure customer excellence is delivered within a safe and productive environment.

Duties will include:

Safe movement of containerised cargo from vessel to yard store
Shunting of containers around the terminal
Movement of containers to fulfil customer requirements
None driving duties to include pinning on containerised vessels
Tally of containers being charged and discharged to and from vessel
Assist other service areas including Traffic management
Assisting with handling, charging and discharging of cargo
Live and breathe a safety first culture with the confidence to identify and report potential risks
Willingness to contribute to other duties within the terminal

These opportunities provide the foundation to offer further training and work in other Terminals and service areas.

Skills and Qualifications

Tug certification OR valid HGV 1 Licence
Newly qualified HGV1 drivers will be considered
Previous Experience of Tug / Shunting / HGV1 Driving will be a distinct advantage
You will need to enjoy being part of a busy Customer focused team.
Be able to work shifts including weekends - Flexibility is key.
'Can do' attitude
Sound communication skills

Hours of Work

12-hour shifts with (Apply online only) and (Apply online only) being core shifts. Start times can vary depending the needs of the business and vessel traffic.
The Port is a 24/7 operation and therefore flexibility to the needs of the operation and vessel traffic is critical. We are seeking committed, flexible and driven candidates who will demonstrate the core values of the port.
