Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and expertise in Application Architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robust application solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align technology with business goals and drive innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex application systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for application development.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance application performance and efficiency.

  • Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Mentor and train junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment of application architecture with business objectives.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the organization.

    Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Application Architecture, including design patterns, frameworks, and methodologies.

  • Proficient in cloud technologies and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Experience with microservices architecture and API design.

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Knowledge of data architecture and database design.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

  • Experience in leading architectural initiatives and driving change within an organization.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in software development and application architecture.

  • Proven experience in leading architectural design and implementation for large scale applications.

  • Relevant certifications in architecture or cloud technologies are a plus
