Maximo Architect – Contract | Hybrid (Remote + South East England) Join a major transformation programme at a leading UK infrastructure organisation.

We’re working with a high-profile client in the utilities sector that is undergoing a significant digital transformation. As part of this journey, they’re looking for a Maximo Enterprise/Solution Architect to help shape the future of their asset and work management capabilities.

This is a contract role with real influence—ideal for someone who wants to be embedded in delivery, lead architectural decisions, and drive meaningful change.

Why this role?

This is a pivotal time for the programme. Two major rollouts have already been delivered, and the next phase includes a full Maximo cloud migration and the expansion of work management functionality across the business.

You’ll be working closely with a forward-thinking architecture lead who values autonomy, practical problem-solving, and breadth of experience. You’ll be trusted to lead—not just follow.

What you’ll be doing
Supporting the migration of Maximo from on-premise to cloud, including integrations and reporting.
Designing and documenting high-level and component-level architecture.
Collaborating with delivery teams to ensure architectural decisions are embedded and executed.
Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, helping align technology with business processes.
Contributing to a roadmap of future Maximo and asset management initiatives.What we’re looking for
Strong experience with IBM Maximo in complex, asset-heavy environments.
A background in sectors such as utilities, transport, infrastructure, or similar.
A blend of technical depth and business awareness—you understand how systems support operations.
Experience working in hybrid delivery teams and navigating stakeholder environments.
Someone who is resilient, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation.The details
Contract: 6 months initially, with strong potential to extend.
IR35: Inside.
Location: Hybrid – mostly remote, with occasional on-site presence in the South East (approx. 2 days/month).
Interview: One stage with the architecture lead and a senior colleague.
