Developing C# .NET software for agritech applications
This establishing company develop mobile hardware products that are used for agritech applications. Their innovative approach to problem-solving provides autonomous solutions that enable users a cost-effective, robust way to mitigate seasonal changes.
Joining a core team, as their newest Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work alongside software, electronics and mechanical engineers. You’ll spend your time writing code as well as observing operationsi in test conditions in a field. You’ll take an interest in tinkering and coming up with multidisciplinary ideas that can improve the technology. Your interests may lie in software architecture or code quality, but your overall approach will be working and contributing to complex and sophisticated innovations.
Requirements:

  • Strong track record of achievement through demonstrable software engineering projects using C# and .NET. This would ideally include interaction with hardware and Cloud applications.
  • Experience using Python and Linux. Additional experience with Azure DevOps would be desirable.
  • Experience working in a tech start-up or scale-up.
  • Any exposure to robotics or complex electro-mechanical instrumentation would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
    Due to the nature of projects, you would be expected to be onsite although some hybrid working is possible. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate a time where they took an out-of-the-box approach to working.
    Whilst this is not a lead role, as a senior engineer, you would be expected to take a lead position on projects on occasion and even mentor junior engineers working on your projects.
    Interested candidates must have full rights to work in the UK. Applicants with restricted time-limited visas will not be considered.
    Due to semi-rural location of their offices (just outside of Cambridge), this may not be a suitable role for those relying on public transport.
