World-Class Technology company in Edinburgh are looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer, with good experience using Java and ideally AWS, to join one of their core squads. Hybrid working, modern tech and great culture on offer.

They've been operating for well-over ten years and are one of the market leaders within their field - they've been steadily growing the past few years and scaling up several of their squads, so are in a great place.

You'd be joining one of their core squads, that has a really positive and direct effect on their customers. There is going to be a big focus on this team this year, as they have a number of big features they're looking to implement, and they're also already experimenting with ML in this team - so it's genuinely a very interesting and modern problem space.

They're an Agile squad of roughly ten, with Software Engineers of varying levels of experience, the team are largely back-end heavy (with Java and AWS) but they do have a dedicated front-end specialist, so there is opportunity to pick up some front-end experience here.

You'll be actively working with Java (Spring), AWS, Kafka and Kubernetes, amongst a few other technologies. You'll be regularly involved in feature design meetings, where you'll be able to suggest and help implement technologies the team feel would help take their services to the next level. The organisation are very big on knowledge sharing here, and as a Senior Engineer you'll ideally feel comfortable coaching and mentoring other members in the team.

You'll ideally have good experience with the following;

** Modern versions of Java

** Java Frameworks (ideally Spring / Springboot)

** Working with cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)

** Working to scale

The following experience is highly desirable;

** Working with Distributed Systems

** Full Stack experience (bonus points for ReactJS)

** DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes or Terraforms)

They've got custom-built offices in central Edinburgh, which includes pool tables, games consoles, even their own Gym and much more. They do support hybrid working here and would hope people can work in the office ideally once or twice a week.

In return they're able to offer a salary from £60k to £75k (might have some flex) and a really strong benefits package to match; which includes multiple bonuses and uncapped holidays.

This is a really unique opportunity to join an already well-established organisation, that have been going through a phase of growth the past couple of years.
