Our Client

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer specialising in network appliances and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to designing, implementing and maintaining secure and scalable systems, with a focus on F5 load balancers, firewall platforms and AWS environments within a DevOps framework. The role involves close collaboration with security, development and operations teams to support and enhance infrastructure capabilities.
 
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement and manage F5 appliances within AWS environments
Configure and maintain Palo Alto and CheckPoint firewall platforms in enterprise settings
Develop and support AWS infrastructure ensuring availability, security and performance
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI tools
Automate infrastructure provisioning through Terraform and Ansible
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network and system performance across hybrid environments
Collaborate with teams to apply DevSecOps principles and ensure compliance
Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
Document network topologies, configurations and processes 
Experience

Extensive hands-on experience with F5 load balancers
Strong knowledge of Palo Alto and CheckPoint firewalls
Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM and Transit Gateway
Skilled with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform and Ansible
Strong scripting skills using Bash or Python
Experience in production system management, preferably in regulated or high-availability environments
Proven ability to mentor junior team members is desirable 
Qualifications

Relevant technical certifications or equivalent practical experience
Security clearance eligibility or possession (SC minimum) is essential
