Overview

We are seeking dynamic Technical Leaders to shape and deliver our Software Development and Data services. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of technical experts while actively contributing to sales efforts.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:
Work closely with customers to understand their needs and pain points.
Discuss technical options, future plans, and problem-solving approaches directly with clients.
Pre-Sales and Service Definition:
Contribute to pre-sales activities, including RFP responses.
Define services offered by our Digital team, aligning them with client requirements.
Project Delivery Oversight:
Once new business is secured, collaborate with the delivery team to ensure successful execution.
Monitor changes to existing deliverables, ensuring ongoing supportability and robustness.
Technical Leadership:
Manage technical resources effectively.
Participate in designing, developing, and testing applications, adhering to established standards.
Diagnose bugs, offer workarounds, and provide estimates for programming tasks.
Problem Anticipation and Resolution:
Anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions.
Communicate project progress, timelines, and impact of changes to project managers.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology developments.
Contribute to peer reviews of solution designs and related code.
Collaboration and Strategy:
Work closely with offshore development teams.
Contribute to departmental strategy, people management, and recruitment.
Support incident management and reporting.
KPIs and SLAs:
Maintain agreed-upon performance metrics and service level agreements.
Digital Delivery Strategy:
Play an active role in shaping our digital delivery approach.
Mentoring and Teaching:
Contribute to the Graduate scheme by mentoring and leading junior team members.

Essential skills

A background in software delivery
An understanding of implementation patterns in data or development
Cloud aware
Understand the complexity of software development and experience of delivery

Desired skills

Some understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and common design patterns.
Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Experience

Proven experience in software leadership roles.
Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Taking ownership of delivery or other areas of responsibility
Passion for driving innovation and achieving results.
