Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote - occasional travel to Manchester office
Contract Length: 6 months
Day Rate: £500/day (Outside IR35)
Clearance: BPSS required upon starting

We are seeking two highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineers to support a major digital transformation initiative within a large-scale central government environment. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a continuous improvement programme focused on enhancing speed, efficiency, and quality across multiple delivery units.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and embed consistent DevOps practices, tooling, and methodologies across product delivery teams.
Drive improvements in digital service delivery through automation, standardisation, and best practices.
Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, presenting technical findings and influencing strategic direction.
Represent DevOps in cross-functional discussions, winning hearts and minds to foster adoption and alignment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven track record in large enterprise environments, ideally within Central Government.
Strong background in Java and AWS.
Broad experience with DevOps tools and technologies.
Hands-on technical capability combined with strategic influencing skills.
Comfortable working to defined milestones and deliverables in an outcome-focused contract
