Recycling Collections Operative 

Location: Southall Lane Depot, UB2 5AG

Hours of work: Mon to Friday & occasional Saturdays hours between 6:30am-3:30pm 40 Hours per week

Salary: £29,534 per annum (Permanent Contract)

We are currently looking to add a number of Recycling Collections Operatives to our collections team based out of our Southall Lane Depot

What is the job of a Recycling and Collections Operative…

You will work as part of a small team and will be pivotal in the roadside collection of waste and recycling across the Borough of Hounslow. You will be collecting a variety of waste streams including dry recyclables, refuse, garden waste, food waste or bulky waste from residents and businesses, you will also…

Ensure that all allocated works are completed within the planned timescales and that all non-collections are reported using the in-cab system.
Carefully load material into vehicles clearing all spillages made during operations.
Return all containers neatly to the curtilage of the property.
To assist the driver when manoeuvring the vehicle especially when reversing to ensure safety of yourself and the public. 

We are looking for someone that…

Can speak and understand English language
Ideally have worked in an environment that promotes good Health & Safety practices
Will be flexible to changing tasks and operating methods as the service develops
Has experience of working in manual roles and outside throughout the seasons
Be able to take responsibility and instruction of the job role
Willing to provide our customers with an excellent service
