Python Game Server Developer

Game Server Developer – Remote EU – up to £65,000

Looking for your next challenge in game development? This growing studio is building innovative, high-quality games enjoyed by players worldwide, and they’re now looking for a skilled Game Server Developer to join the team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of projects from setup right through to launch. If you’re someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants the freedom to express creativity while building engaging player experiences – this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing, developing, and maintaining server-side components that power online games.

Working closely with front-end developers, designers, and mathematicians to deliver smooth integration and gameplay.

Optimising performance to handle high user loads and ensure a seamless experience.

Testing, debugging, and ensuring releases are as issue-free as possible.

Keeping on top of industry trends and enhancing server architecture.

What we’re looking for:

3+ years in game server development, ideally with slot or casino titles.

Strong Python experience 

Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and how they apply to game mechanics.

Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, Git, cloud platforms, and containerisation (Docker).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Experience with automated testing frameworks.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of Node.js or Typescript.
