BI Engineer / Power BI Developer — Contract

Remote (Ireland based preferred)

6 months contract, multiple extensions expected

Excellent daily rate on offer

Overview

We’re hiring a BI Engineer / Power BI Developer to support a global manufacturing group’s EU technology hub. The role focuses on improving existing reporting and automation solutions and supporting longer-term BI projects. The organisation is investing heavily in various digital systems and want to have the latest and greatest reporting services / capabilities functioning effectively.

Responsibilities

Resolve backlog items across BI and automation

Improve performance and reliability of Power BI reports

Refactor and improve Power Platform solutions

Reduce technical debt in reporting and workflows

Support cloud migration of reporting systems

Assist with reporting architecture improvements

Improve ERP data integration and automation

Tech Stack:

Power BI

Power Apps

Power Automate

Microsoft data stack / T-SQL

Python (basic scripting)

SAP S/4HANA or Epicor (nice to have)

Azure environment (multiple migration projects ongoing)

Requirements

Strong Power BI development experience

Good SQL and data modelling skills

Experience working with Microsoft BI tools

Comfortable working with existing/legacy solutions

Able to work independently in a remote setup

Nice to have:

Power Apps or Power Automate experience

ERP integration experience

SAP knowledge

Python for data tasks
