Job Title - Operator
A vacancy has arisen within our Client’s team, waste operations and logistics for operators. The purpose of the post is to undertake driving and operational duties within the waste transport team. This includes transportation of waste and project plant/equipment both on and off site, as well as providing logistics and operational support to projects carried out in the low level waste stores and facilities. Main Responsibilities:
Operate heavy plant such as forklift trucks (up to 48Te), telehandlers, tractors, and trailers.
Be prepared to undertake terberg shuntmaster training.
Carry out routine and non-routine vehicle activities including pre-use inspections and defect reporting, collection, and transportation of wastes and other logistic related tasks in support of site projects as appropriate.
Prepare and distribute various types of approved waste containers and packages to projects.
Undertake operational monitoring.
Carry out routine plant, fire and emergency checks identifying unusual trends and system/component failures and assist in its resolution.
Perform the responsibilities of management appointments relevant to the post.
