FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a .NET Engineer to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Cheshire or Edinburgh.

Our client is looking for an innovative .NET Engineer to design and implement technology solutions that address their business challenges and drive efficiency. This role requires a strong problem-solver with expertise in Microsoft technologies and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into practical technology solutions

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft technologies (Azure, .NET framework, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform)

  • Assist in the integration of systems, applications, and third-party tools, ensuring seamless functionality

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues during the solution lifecycle

  • Optimise solutions for scalability, performance, and reliability through testing and continuous improvement

  • Contribute to the creation of technical standards, best practices, and documentation

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes

    Requirements

  • Experience designing and implementing technology solutions using Microsoft tools and platforms (Azure, .NET framework, Microsoft 365, Power Platform)

  • Proficiency in system integration, API development, and database management

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical issues

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences

  • Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory considerations in solution design

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience in pensions

  • Certification in Microsoft technologies, such as Azure Developer Associate or similar
