Location: London
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Rate: £500/day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Linux NetApp Consultant to support a short-term infrastructure project involving NetApp storage systems and Linux-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise storage, Linux system administration, and infrastructure migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support for NetApp storage systems (ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault)

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)

  • Assist with storage migration, data replication, and performance tuning

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and stability

  • Document configurations, procedures, and best practices

  • Support backup and disaster recovery planning

    Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration

  • Strong hands-on experience with NetApp storage solutions

  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation

  • Experience with NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and SAN/NAS environments

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals and firewall rules

  • Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills

    Desirable:

  • Experience with VMware, Ansible, or Kubernetes

  • Exposure to cloud storage integrations (AWS, Azure)

  • Previous work in higher education, finance, or research environments
