Owen Daniels are recruiting for a fantastic family run Manufacturing business for a Labourer on a three-month temporary basis with a strong likelihood for the role to become a permanent role after the three months.
 
In this role, you are expected to assist in the general duties associated within the manufacturing areas of fabrication, welding, coating and despatch as and where required.

Rate - £12.21 per hour
Monday – Thursday 8AM – 4:30PM and Friday 8AM – 3:30PM (39 hours per week)

Job Description

Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in all areas of manufacture
Specific tasks to include the sweeping of designated walkways and removal of any obstructions that would impede pedestrian movements to designated areas
Ensure all workstations / cells are clear of waste materials and all floors are swept at regular intervals to maintain a safe working area for fabrication and welding purposes
Transfer of material to and from workstations by mechanical means of either FLT or OHC
Removal of all waste products, both raw material and consumable waste (bins) to designated external waste disposal containers for removal from site

Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and standing for extended periods
