The Role

As the firm’s go-to Cloud Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, deploying, and supporting Azure cloud environments, driving security, scalability, and performance. From Azure Virtual Desktop optimisation to supporting modern collaboration tools like RingCentral and Microsoft Copilot Studio, you’ll play a key part in shaping the digital future of a nationally recognised legal practice.

### **Key Responsibilities**

* Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
* Automate processes and operations using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure DevOps.
* Oversee the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) estate – from host pool setup to session host management and FSLogix profiles.
* Collaborate with technical leaders to design secure, scalable cloud-based solutions and support disaster recovery.
* Maintain governance across cloud resources, ensuring best practices around identity, access, tagging, and cost control.
* Provide expert-level support for cloud-hosted applications and SaaS tools, including RingCentral.
* Keep your finger on the pulse of emerging cloud tech – including AI tools and Microsoft’s evolving Copilot landscape.

### **Ideal Candidate Profile**

* Educated to degree level in Computer Science or similar technical field.
* Holds, or working toward, Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator or Network Engineer).
* 3+ years’ hands-on experience working within Azure environments.
* Deep understanding of AVD architecture, user access control, and profile management using FSLogix.
* Highly proficient in scripting, automation, and cloud deployment pipelines.
* Experience with modern platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure Foundry is a bonus.
