Join our dynamic web development team during this exciting period of growth. We’re seeking a Front-end Web Developer who can build highly functional and visually appealing client-side web applications. Your role will involve translating requirements into interactive applications that enhance user experience.

Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience | Hybrid Working (3 days on site). We are based in a rural location with no public transport.

Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

About You

You’re a tech-savvy professional with a passion for new digital technologies. You aspire to blend usability with visual design, creating digital solutions that not only work well but look great too.

Responsibilities



Develop responsive web pages in HTML for both desktop and mobile devices.

Convert high-fidelity design mock-ups into responsive HTML/CSS/JS templates.

*

Optimise web applications for maximum speed and scalability.

*

Write maintainable and testable client-side web applications.

*

Design features specifically for mobile devices.

*

Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to enhance usability.

*

Liaise with customer-focused teams to assist with determining requirements.

*

Document solutions implemented.

*

Plan work in detail within an Agile environment.

*

Create high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes.

*

Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting.

*

Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency.

*

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.

Key requirements

*

Proficiency in CSS, Javascript, React.js, Next.js, and HTML.

*

Experience with cross-browser compatibility maintenance.

*

Proficiency in debugging.

*

Experience with responsive design (Mobile first).

*

Proficiency in Git.

*

Experience with unit testing.

*

Experience with web performance optimisation.

*

Experience implementing front ends using a headless CMS.

*

Experience integrating back-end APIs into a front-end design.

*

Experience working with one or more CSS frameworks.

*

Experience working with one or more Javascript frameworks.

Desirable skills

*

Experience with DevOps pipelines.

*

Proficiency in Less or Sass.

*

Experience with feature flags.

*

Experience with Bootstrap and Tailwind.

*

Experience working with Figma or equivalent tools.

*

Experience with Jira, DevOps (or equivalent) for work planning.
