I am looking for a Cloud Engineer to join my client on an initial 6 or 12 month engagement. This will be working for a high profile Defence client so you MUST have active eDV / UKIC DV Clearance to be considered for this role.

You should have expertise in several of the following areas:

Extensive experience with AWS and a strong ability to address complex business challenges, recognized as a subject matter expert in AWS
Proven skill in architecting and implementing solutions using AWS services, including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, and IAM
Proficiency in scripting with languages such as Shell, Bash, or Python
Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, routing, and firewall configurations
A deep grasp of AWS operational best practices, particularly in monitoring, observability, and FinOps
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform

Additionally, it would be advantageous to have experience with:

AWS Associate-level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps)
Coding proficiency in at least one language compatible with AWS Lambda
Working with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS
Implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, or Bitbucket
Conducting automated testing of code using appropriate testing framework
You will be expected to be onsite minimum of three days a week in one of their locations across the UK - Locations can be shared confidentially on the phone.

This role will be Inside of IR35 paying up to £650 a day.
