CI/CD Pipeline Architect** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: London/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Overview

As a CI/CD Pipeline Architect, you will play a pivotal role in helping our development teams adopt GitHub Enterprise and Harness CD. Your expertise will guide the transition to efficient CI/CD practises, ensuring seamless integration and deployment across all environments-from development to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess current CI/CD pipelines and identify areas for enhancement.
Design target CI/CD pipeline architectures on the Unified CI/CD Platform.
Provide strategic guidance on implementing best practises and designs.
Define adoption milestones and refine user stories to track progress.
Collaborate with development teams throughout the adoption process, assisting with execution and troubleshooting as needed.
Transitioning from non-Git source code systems to Git-based systems.
utilising reusable components like GitHub Action Workflows and Harness Templates for increased efficiency.
Implementing CI/CD patterns suitable for various archetypes (SaaS, Product-Led, Service-Led) and architectures (micro-service, monolithic, layered).
Integrating security scans (SAST, SCA, container) and comprehensive testing (unit, functional, integration) within pipelines.

Skills & Experience:

Strong proficiency with Git Version Control, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Actions.
Experience with JFrog Artifactory and Harness CD.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Helm).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS CloudFormation).
Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Groovy Script, or Golang).
