As a Power BI Developer, you will be an integral part of a digital transformation journey, creating impactful data-driven insights that enhance operations and decision-making. You’ll focus on designing and developing Power BI reporting solutions within an enterprise data platform, ensuring high-quality, intuitive dashboards that deliver real value across the business.

Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into visually compelling BI solutions, and maintaining reporting assets to ensure smooth performance. You'll also contribute to Agile development cycles, manage backlogs, and support user adoption through training and documentation.

What you’ll be doing as a BI Visualisation Developer - Fixed Term Contract:

Power BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), ensuring they meet business needs and drive actionable insights.
Incident Management: Oversee the administration of Power BI workspaces, monitoring performance and resolving any incidents related to reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into intuitive, visually compelling BI solutions.
Agile Delivery: Contribute to Agile ceremonies, manage product backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and lead sessions for end-users to ensure effective adoption of Power BI reports and dashboards.Base Location: Swindon – Hybrid. (1-2 days a week in the office)
12-month fixed-term contract
Working Pattern: Full Time/36 Hours per week.

What you should bring to the role:
Essential Experience:

Hands-on experience designing Power BI solutions and driving business adoption.
Proficiency in the Azure stack (ADF, Databricks, SQL) for seamless data integration and reporting.
Strong skills in building visually compelling and intuitive user interfaces.
Experience in reporting and analysis, preferably within the utility industry.
Ability to manage Power BI workspaces and resolve performance issues.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools for project management.Essential Technical Skills & Qualifications:

Extensive hands-on experience with Power BI and creating data-driven insights.
Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and SQL for data integration.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of M365 Admin Centre, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint administration.
Experience working in a utility industry setting and understanding its unique data needs.What’s in it for you?
