About the Role

Guidant Global is supporting our client in recruiting a talented Automation Developer to design, develop, and optimise automation solutions that streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong scripting skills and an interest in rule engines, workflow automation, and modern integration technologies.

You'll work closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, identifying process inefficiencies and turning them into scalable, automated solutions that add real value across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and maintain automation solutions and applications using Python, JavaScript, and relevant automation tools
Identify automation opportunities by analysing existing workflows and business processes
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
Implement automation using Power Automate, scripting, and Microsoft ecosystem integrations
Ensure automation solutions integrate smoothly with enterprise applications
Troubleshoot, enhance, and optimise workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability
Maintain accurate documentation for scripts, workflows, and automation components
Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences
Support adoption and continual improvement of automation best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of JavaScript (particularly for rules engine API development)
Understanding of SQL for database queries
Experience working with JSON data structures
Rudimentary knowledge of Java, particularly for data type definitions within ODM tools
Understanding of process mapping, workflow analysis, and automation methodologies
Ability to learn and adopt tools such as ODM and BAW (training available)

Desirable Skills

Experience with Python (for script maintenance)
Working knowledge of CI/CD practices
Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate
Understanding of enterprise integration principles
