Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

Supervise, motivate, and support a dedicated team of warehouse operatives daily.
Assist in scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
Help train and onboard new staff members.
Uphold health and safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and monitor all daily inbound and outbound deliveries.
Ensure accurate checking, recording, and storage of received goods.
Oversee the picking, packing, and despatch processes to meet delivery deadlines.
Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to resolve issues swiftly.
Plan and manage the offloading of incoming containers effectively.
Ensure proper handling and accurate booking-in of goods.
Maintain clear documentation and communication with inventory and purchasing teams.

Oversee stock control procedures and maintain accurate inventory records.
Lead and participate in regular stocktakes and cycle counts.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies efficiently.
Collaborate closely with the inventory team to ensure system accuracy.

Day-to-Day Warehouse Operations:

Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
Monitor the use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks).
Support process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce errors.
Act as the point of contact in the Warehouse Manager's absence.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or assistant management role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good understanding of goods receiving, despatch processes, and stock control.
Competent in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office, especially Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Assist with manual handling when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach) is necessary.
Experience with ERP or inventory systems
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
