UX Designer/Developer Day rate contract in a Higher Education establishment in Birmingham 3-6-month contract (outside scope of IR35) hybrid working (1-2 days per week on site) Hays Technology are working with a large education establishment in Birmingham to recruit a UX Designer/Developer on a temporary basis with an immediate start. This vacancy has arisen from a requirement to build a whole new feature into a portal build and our client requires an additional resource within the existing team.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Able to provide a portfolio and examples of previous work.
Proven knowledge and understanding of UX/UI which puts usability and accessibility at the forefront.
Able to scrutinise user requirements, acceptance criteria and visually communicate ideas to a standard that can be translated into working solutions.
Experience translating user requirements into tangible designs and mocks prior to development
Significant front-end development experience in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Use of source control repositories such as GIT.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Experience with Microsoft web technologies (e.g. Blazor, .Net MVC, Razor etc.)
Experience with jQuery.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud.
Experience in wireframing/mocking tools (e.g. Balsamic, Mockflow, Moqups etc.)
Experience of designing mobile applications (iOS, Android).
Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
