Full Stack Developer (Laravel & React Native)
Hybrid – Quarterly visits to Bristol (or more if you like) | Up to £50,000

We're partnering with a purpose-driven digital studio that builds web and mobile applications for NGOs, charities, and other third-sector organisations. Their products support real-world impact — from humanitarian relief to community outreach — and as the team grows, they’re looking for a passionate developer to help shape what comes next.

You can work mostly remotely, with just one visit to the Bristol office each quarter. If you prefer more in-person collaboration, many of the team are in 2–3 days a week — it’s completely flexible.

What you’ll be doing:

You'll be working across the full stack, helping to design, build, and maintain scalable applications used by organisations that do meaningful work.

Building backends with Laravel – working with migrations, queues, Blade templates, middleware, performance tuning, and more

*

Developing cross-platform mobile apps in React Native (Expo), using state libraries like Zustand or Redux

*

Writing clean, maintainable code in PHP and JavaScript (ES6+), ideally with some Vue or Alpine

*

Building and integrating RESTful APIs with secure authentication (OAuth2, JWT)

*

Working with MySQL, Firebase, and Supabase where needed

*

Using Tailwind or Bootstrap for frontend styling

You’ll also contribute to architecture decisions, documentation, and peer reviews — your voice and experience will matter here.

Bonus points for experience with:

*

Laravel Nova, Livewire, or Filament

*

PHPUnit, Pest, or other testing frameworks

*

Docker, AWS, Cloudflare

*

CI/CD, DevOps workflows

*

API planning and system design

Why join?

*

Work that matters – build software for organisations making a difference

*

Collaborative, capable team with a strong engineering culture

*

Flexibility – one Bristol visit per quarter (or join more often if you like)

*

Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
