Role Overview:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our growing Technical Services team. In this key role, you’ll take ownership of the design, operation, and continuous improvement of complex SAP environments across both on-premise and cloud landscapes.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement are at the core of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Operations & Support:
• Deliver expert-level SAP Basis administration across ABAP, Java, and hybrid system landscapes.
• Manage complex SAP environments hosted on HANA, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MaxDB, and ASE databases.
• Drive system stability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring, tuning, and optimisation.
• Take ownership of Priority 1 (P1) incident resolution, ensuring swift recovery and detailed root cause analysis.
• Implement SAP Notes, kernel upgrades, Support Packs, and Enhancement Packages across customer landscapes.
• Execute system copies, refreshes, migrations (homogeneous and heterogeneous), and upgrades with precision.
• Maintain saprouter configurations, Solution Manager, and Cloud ALM for integrated monitoring and change control.
• Support SAP security and authorisation processes, with a solid understanding of GRC and compliance frameworks.
• Deliver system health checks, EarlyWatch reports, and technical service reviews with clear insights and recommendations.
Cloud, Automation & Innovation:
• Administer and optimise SAP landscapes in cloud platforms - Azure, AWS, GCP, and private cloud.
• Deploy and manage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions - from connectivity to lifecycle management.
• Utilise SAP Cloud ALM for operations, change management, and proactive service monitoring.
• Champion automation, scripting, and DevOps practices to boost efficiency, resilience, and scalability.
• Stay ahead of the curve on SAP’s evolving roadmap (S/4HANA, BTP, Cloud ALM, GRC) - driving continuous innovation.
Customer Engagement & Leadership:
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and primary contact for key customers.
• Partner with SAP and NTT Data teams to accelerate resolution of escalated and complex issues.
• Lead strategic Basis initiatives - including upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation projects.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering growth and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Contribute to service development, documentation excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
Experience & Skills Required:
• Extensive SAP Basis expertise across multiple SAP versions - including S/4HANA, ECC, and NetWeaver.
• Proven success managing complex, multi-system SAP landscapes (ECC, BI, PI/PO, CRM, SCM, Portal, Solution Manager).
• Deep knowledge of SAP HANA plus experience with at least one additional database platform.
• Strong OS-level administration skills across Linux, Windows, and AIX/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud ALM and SAP BTP administration or integration.
• Solid grasp of SAP Security and GRC principles, with a commitment to compliance best practices.
• Track record of delivering SAP migrations, upgrades, and performance optimisations.
• Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager for monitoring, maintenance, and change control.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience running SAP on public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Practical automation and scripting skills in Ansible, PowerShell, Shell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Fiori, BTP extensions, and integration scenarios.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD methodologies for SAP operations.
Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
