Hybrid Project Delivery Manager (Contract, 6 months)

The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to keep delivery on track while a permanent headcount is approved.

What You’ll Do
Own delivery governance – budget tracking, milestone management, RAID, supplier statements of work.

Serve as delivery lead for at least one flagship initiative (Phase 2 release targeted for early October 2025) while supporting the wider product-squad roadmap.

Unblock teams & align dependencies across product, engineering, design, data, marketing and change (≈ 90 FTE).

Maintain executive-level reporting via weekly/bi-weekly steering forums.

Transition a robust governance framework to the incoming permanent owner at contract end.

First-6-Month Deliverables
Sustain delivery flow and stakeholder confidence for H2 2025 roadmap increments.

Launch the Phase 2 release of a customer-value pricing initiative (hypercare included).

Reduce critical blockers baseline by >75 %.

Achieve ≥ 90 % milestone adherence and ≤ 5 material production defects.

Ways of Working
Hybrid pattern: 2 days / week in the North-West UK head office, remainder remote.

Tooling: Azure DevOps, Excel, Miro, PowerPoint.

Budget oversight: ≈ £3.5 m across internal teams and strategic tech partners.

Success Measures
On-time Phase 2 launch with successful hypercare.

High milestone adherence and minimal production defects.

Exec SteerCo satisfaction ≥ 4 / 5.

Significant reduction in critical delivery blockers.

About You
10–15 years’ experience leading digital retail or consumer-facing app & e-commerce projects.

Equal parts PMO rigour and servant-leader mindset; excel in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Certifications: Prince2 or APM plus Scrum/SAFe; fluent with OKRs and lean/agile metrics.

Compelling storyteller able to distil complex status into crisp, executive-ready narratives
